Frequently Asked Questions

Why Adoption?

We have wanted to expand our family for years. Between trying naturally and being unsuccessful and seeing how much adoption has touched the lives of our nearest and dearest, it felt like the right choice.

Why Open Adoption?

We don't think there should be a stigma around adoption and there currently is one.  By continuing to involve the birth families, we hope to continue the evolution of adoption.

Plus its just healthier for all parties. The child has access to ask questions about their past or even just determine who they look like. Adoptive parents can get health history answers and ensure the child is never left wondering. And birth parents are able to remain involved because adoption always comes from a place of caring and love.

Do You Have Preferences In Child?

We do not. Our current homestudy approval is for 0-2 years, but that can always change. Gender, race, religion are all accepted. We do hope to include the birth parents culture into raising any child placed with us.

How Can I Help You On This Journey?

Private adoption requires word of mouth and referrals. The more open and often you bring up adoption to people, the more our name gets out there. We may not know someone, you may not know someone, but that conversation you have with a coworker or someone on the bus could change the lives of so many people!

We have an Instagram, Facebook, this webpage, and even pass along cards. Share our posts. Share our story. The right situation is out there for everyone.

What Is The Best Way To Contact You?

For anyone that has questions about us, adoption in general, or possibly know of a situation we ask that you use our email address: josh.alexis.adoption@gmail.com
